SayClearly

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what SayClearly collects when you use the service and how we use and share it.

Information we collect

Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and a user ID through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Practice audio: when you record a sentence, the audio is processed to score your pronunciation. We do not keep your recordings on our servers after scoring.

Usage and progress: your scores, mistakes and practice history, stored on your device and — if you sign in — synced to your account.

Payment: handled by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference, never your card details.

Third-party processors

To run the service we share the necessary data with: Microsoft Azure (pronunciation scoring of your audio), Google Gemini (optional AI coaching tips), Clerk (sign-in), Neon (database), Stripe (payments) and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only to provide its function.

How we use your data

To score your pronunciation, show your progress, provide coaching, manage your subscription, secure the service and improve it.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser local storage to keep your practice progress and your sign-in session. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention and your choices

Audio is not retained after scoring. Account, subscription and synced progress are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data through the in-app feedback form.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page. Questions can be sent through the in-app feedback form.
